Thanksgiving in the USA!

Hello all,

As many of you know, the holiday of Thanksgiving is upon us here in the USA.   It is supposed to be a time of looking back and giving thanks for the wonderful year we have had so far.

Unfortunately, retailers and the media have hyped the Black Friday concept so much that the holiday has lost much of its shine.  The old standards will still be there, turkey and football, but the concept of giving thanks seems to be covered over by the huge number of sale flyers and the retailers competing for how early they can open their stores and still be considered politically correct.

Here at DHS we are giving thanks.   We want to thank all those who purchase from us during the year and consider us their best choice for diecast construction and truck models.   We want to thank all of those who have been loyal to us in an ever-increasing mix of crazy online deals and vendors who bring down the value of items you have already purchased at full price.  We are doing this by offering some items at a reduced price!

Is having a sale a bad thing?  Absolutely not.  Many times, it is necessary to move some inventory that has been sitting for too long and/or provide a list of items for customers to get at a lower price in order to encourage sales.   Having a sale 24 hours a day and seven days a week for 365 days a year is no longer a sale.  That is why at DHS you will only see carefully planned sales happen periodically.  We always suggest you check in on the homepage every day - as we change the items listed and post sales there as they start up.  Many of our sales are of the "Deal of the Day" category where you only get one day's chance to take advantage of the savings.   www.dhsdiecast.com

So the advice for the day is... have a happy thanksgiving wherever you are and enjoy the holiday sales which seem to be linked to this holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Chuck
