Hello all!
Here is a photo of the winner of the 1936 Colson Rear Steer Tandem Bicycle we raffled off to benefit the Ohio Museum of Transportation and Industry. The bike was completely restored by Steve Keppler from Lorain, Ohio for the museum raffle Colson was a company in Elyria, Ohio who started out building bikes and other wheeled vehicles and actually spawned the company Invacare whose headquarters is still in Elyria to this day.
We sold the raffle tickets at the DHS Open House 2013 as well as a few car shows and the LaGrange Engine Show in Lorain, Ohio this last weekend.
The winner purchased his ticket at the Lakewood Car Kulture Show in Lakewood, Ohio this last August. From what we hear, Dan used to own a bike shop and so knows all about the history of this particular bike. He also told us he has never won anything in his life - so this is a first for him!
Congratulations to Dan Lipowski from Bedford, Ohio who is the winner of the Colson Tandem Bike!

Watch this space for museum updates throughout the next few months. We are currently fundraising for a feasibility study to help determine what is necessary for us to be successful as well as help us with location the museum when it is built. You can checkout the website at
